E586K [F11]

Suppresses

E531Q[G12]
P536R[G13]
R562H[G12]
R562L

WHERE: E586K is in the alpha helix running perpendicular to the screen in F11.

WHAT: E586K was one of the original cold-sensitive mutants. It has also been found spontaneously as a suppressor of P536R, E531Q and R562H. These latter 3 are in the actin-binding region of myosin and have defects in their actin interaction properties.

FRIENDS & RELATIONS: By its ability to suppress the actin-binding region mutants, E586K is related to many of the other suppressors isolated by Erik Misner:

Image: E586K can be found in the ActBind mirror.
