E560K,R[G10]

Suppresses

L453F [E7]
N483S[G7]
R562H[G10]

* = suppression is reciprocal

WHERE: The mutant is located on the green strand but is obscured in the grid image

WHAT: This is another 'crossover' suppressor--E560R has been isolated as a suppressor of R562H[G10] (possibly a 'trivial' case of reversing the original defect--R to H initial change is a decrease in positive charge, whereas E to R is an increase). However, as E560K, it suppresses both L453F [E7] and N483S[G7]--members of the 'tail of the CamShaft' family that also includes Y494K[I5] and W501L[I5].

FRIENDS & RELATIONS: See above; also, as a suppressor of R562H[G10] it has implied membership in the 'suppressor of actin binding site mutation' family that includes such notables as E586K [F11] and M486I [G7]

Image: E560 can be found in the ActBind mirror. It is not yet shown in the CamShaft mirror.
